Show STANDARD SHIPS 58 CAM APRIL Bigger Production Predicted Pre-dicted During Summer Under Un-der Favorable Conditions. That the Tintie Standard is steadily forcing its way to the front as one of the big producers of the state is indicated in the announcement yesterday that the company shipped to the smelter during the month of April fifty -eight cars, aggregating ag-gregating approximately 3000 tons of ore,. In the face of this promising record it is hinted that the production of the Standard is only in the embryonic stage and that a bigger output will be recorded from month to month as the summer progresses pro-gresses if conditions remain favorable. The conditions upon which greater production pro-duction depend are not ore reserves, but road conditions, ample hauling facilities, ample cars and no smelter embargoes. JuBt now all conditions are favorable to big production and it is believed that they will remain favorable throughout the summer. About the time the Standard was getting in position for a big output last fall the smelter embargoes were in effect and there was a dearth of cars. By the time these conditions were remedied the roads were in bad shape and the hauling haul-ing of ore to the railroad was seriously interfered with. Last week the Standard established a new high record for shipments by sending send-ing sixteen cars to the smelter, and ore is now being moved from the mine to the railroad at an average rate of approximately approxi-mately 100 tons a day. The dividend of 3 cents a share for the first quarter was paid last month and, while no further dividend action is due until June, it is intimated that the treasury treas-ury of the company could stand a liberal j dividend disbursement right now. |
