Some of the morning news--apers cay the postponement is due to government s wish to introduce a :omorule bill and to see what measure of success it gets before proceeding to enforce en-force conscription in Ireland, which, it ,3 said, in some quarters is not IIKely lo be attempted in the next few weeks. Opinion in the lobbies of parliament is that a home rule bill will be presented io the house of commons next week, but the difficulties of drafting it have not ken overcome entirely. Premier Speaks Frankly. Members of the labor deputation who awaited upon the premier in the house of commons Monday in regard to Irish conscription admit, says the Daily Telegraph, Tele-graph, that Mr. Lloyd George spoke frankly and firmly and listened patiently lo the statement prepared by Arthur Henderson Hen-derson upon representations made by a deputation of Irish trades unionists. 1'remier Lloyd George promised that the abinet would consider fully the representations represen-tations of the laborites. but he held out no hope so far as he was concerned personally per-sonally for any change in the policy of the government.
