Show GUNNISON RED CROSS CHAPTER IS ACTIVE Another Shipment of Garments to the Division Headquarters at Denver Is Announced. Special to The Tribune. GUNNISON, May 1. The Gunnison Valley chapter, American Red Cross, shipped today, as the result of work done during April, to division headquarters head-quarters at Denver, 115 garments for hospital use and forty pairs of hand-knit hand-knit socks, made by the various units of the chapter, as follows: Gunnison headquarters, twelve suits of pajamas, 15 pairs of bed socks, 9 hospital bed shirts, 5 undershirts, 5 under drawers, 28 pairs knit socks and 1 sweater. From Mayfield branch, 20 suits of pajamas, 15 pairs of bed socks, 15 hospital bed shirts and 5 pairs of knit socks. Centerfield branch, 12 suits of pajamas. Axtell auxiliary, 11 hospital bed shirts. Fayette auxiliary, six suits of pajamas and 7 pairs of knit socks. The classes in bandage work at Centerfield Cen-terfield and Gunnison are planning to complete a large amount of work for shipment next month. The school committee com-mittee has effected the organization of a Junior Red Cross auxiliary in each school under the jurisdiction of this chapter. With the end of the school term in sight, these junior members are working work-ing hard to complete various articles, to make a crediable shipment before the end of the school year. |
