Show BRYANT SCHOOL TO HOLD RUMMAGE SALE Commodities of Various Sorts to Be Disposed Of by Students for Junior Red Cross. Tomorrow is to be "Rummage Day" at the Bryant junior high school and already al-ready the pupils have brought in every conceivable article from boudoir caps and baseball bats to young onions and automobile auto-mobile tires, all of which will be sold to raise money to meet the membership dues for the Junior Red Cross and for other school expenditures. Hardly any activity during the year, except the Liberty loan drive, has aroused the interest among the students as has this rummage sale. One of the features of "Rummage day" will be the luncheon, served .cafeteria style, by the domestic science department. Toothsome dainties, made according to the latest Hoover suggestions will form the menu. The manual training department will have charge of the junk, which will be sold from the manual shop. The rummage sale of clothing will be hed at 4 p. m. in the assembly room. Athletic sports and games will conclude the day's programme. Principal J. H. Coombs expressed his pleasure at the original, practical and thrifty ideas of the pupils, and said that he commended the patriotic spirit that has characterized the all-Bryant student activities this year. The school has subscribed sub-scribed to each Liberty loan drive, and it now has $300 in Liberty bonds, as well as a good showing in thrift stamps. |
