Show BAPTISTS 10 MEET IF Trill LIFTS Laymen's Convention Coming Com-ing Here on December - 14 and 15. If the influenza ban is lifted by that time, local Baptists intend to hold a. laymen's lay-men's ronvention on Saturday and Sun-"day, Sun-"day, December 11 and 15, nt Salt T.nke. The gathering will be under the auspices of tlie Northern Baptist convention, laymen's lay-men's committee, and the sessions will be addressed bv Dr. F. A. Aiiar of New York, Jud'e W. II. Witty of Pucatello, Idaho; Lr. M. D. Kiibank of Clilea-'O. and probably also by Dr. W. IT. Bowler of Boise. Idaho, secretary In charge of I ho local district of laymen's conventions, conven-tions, and by A. A. Korshee of New York. Saturday's meetings will include morn-ln?, morn-ln?, afternoon tturi evening sessions, as will Sunday's, the Sunday afternoon and evening meetings being union gatherings, while Sunday morning the sessions will bo held in the various lo'-al Baptist churches. The union meet lugs will be held at Immanuol Baptist church. Such topics as stewardship and giving, i self-dedication, prayer, missions and the like will he dealt with by tlie speakers. A fellowship supper, either at Immanuol church or the Y. W. C. A. cafeteria, will be a feature of the sessions. Meetings similar to the local ones will he held at Boise. Idaho. December lu and 11, and at Grand Junction, ('olo., December Decem-ber 17 and IS. The Northern Baplist convention, laymen's committee, of which I N. W. Ayer of Philadelphia, the noted ! advertising man, is chairman, planned tho movement, nnd meetings have been ! held this year all over the United Stales j as far as tlie jurisdiction of Ihe Northern North-ern Baptist convention extended. |
