DESERTERS FROM AUSTRIAN ARMIES FORM ORGANIZATION I PARTS, Friday. Nov. 22. A million deserters from the Austrian armies, organized or-ganized In large and small bodies and calling themselves a green guard, are established in fortified camps in the forests for-ests of almost every part of southeastern Europe, according to William J. Rose, agent of the Slovene government in lai-bach. lai-bach. the new capital of Slovakia, and of the Polish provisional government in Austrian Aus-trian Silesia. Mr. Rose, who is from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Mani-toba, now is in Paris. He Is an Oxford university man and is secretary of the World's Christian Student federation in Poland. Throughout tho war Mr. Rose has been living quietly in a Country house near Oieszanow. Austrian Silesia, belonging belong-ing to the student Christian federation. He has prepared for Colonel E. M. House a lengthy memorandum on the situation.
