Among the Interesting events of the week was the Kensington given by Mrs. Mark W. Foote on Wednesday afternoon at her home on Seventh street, when sne entertained the members of her sewing club. The various Red Cross units met at their rooms in the federal building Tuesday, Tues-day, Wednesday and Friday afternoons and Tuesday evening with about the usual number of workers present at each meeting. Plans were discussed for the membership campaign and Mrs. Charles Stone was appointed chairman of the committee in charne of this work. New Mexico, acknowledging receipt of knitted sets and expressing their appreciation appre-ciation of the work done by the Red Cross and the Y. M. C. A. for their comfort and enjoyment. The knitted sets which are made here are sent to the headquarters headquar-ters of the Mountain division of the Hod Cross society and from (hero are sent lo the various forts In this division to be given to the soldiers without any cost to them whatsoever. |
