Real Kstate board intcndH to co-operate with the National Association of Heal .Estate Boards in aotivo support of tho national "own your home " campaign to be launched throughout every community in the country was vouched for yesterday by V. A. Bettilyon, president of Bettilyon Home Builders company of Salt Lake, who is chairman of the Salt Lake board. President Bettilyon is strongly in favor of the national movement to "own vour home" which the National Association of Heal Kstate Boards is preparing to launch. Tho big drive will come in March. April and May, in all probability, and will be nation-wide in scope. Committees will be appointed in every city in the country from tho ranks of men vitally Interested in the "own your home" movemont. "It should be remembered that, only a small portion of our population is awav and that these men are only nwnv temporarily," said Mr. Bettilyon yegterd&y. "The percentage of family men remaining is practically what it I was in time of peace, anil family men are the only logical prospects for the 'own your home' movement. Most homes are bought and paid for by men over 31 years of age. "Family men are making more money now than ever before. The 'own vour home' campaign will divert this into the right channel. Every dollar spent for useless and costly luxuries just now is money crumbling away from 'the foundation of real. prosperity. Furthermore, Fur-thermore, building material is regarded now as lower than it will ever be again. ' ' Already an ' own your home ' movement move-ment has been conducted in such cities as Oakland, Minneapolis, Denver, Gary, Birmingham, Savannnh, Rochester and many other cities with great success. "Hero in Salt Lake the real estate board intends to arrange for a full participation in the movemont and we shall do everything in our power to bring home vigorously to Salt Lake's family men not only the advantages but the vital necessity of securing a home of their own.
