Quartermaster Quarter-master General Sharpe in a statement today gives figures on army contracts to show that adequate supplies of clothing for all men in the service now : are available and that proper deliveries j and uninterrupted transportation will j assure supplies for the future. General Sharpe 's statement shows that there already have been delivered to the troops practically six million blankets, more than two million overcoats?, over-coats?, more than twc-lve million wintor undershirts, four million pairs of drawers, draw-ers, ' nearly three million pairs of breeches, more than two million coats, more than five million woolen shirts, r;iore than eight million pairs of shoes and more than three million hats. In the apevegate, about half the supplies sup-plies ordered have been delivered. |
