CALUMET SHOWING STEADILY IMPROVES A letter received vesterdav from the superintendent of tho Calumet mine in Iron county says the roads are bad vet. but the snow Is going fust. lie writes that he will do some work on the ro;tds as soon as they are drv enough. The mine is looking well. The miners are driving two drifts in ore and getting some of the high-grade galena that occurs in bunches through the carbonate ore. The truck was laid up pending the drying ot the roads. When the letter was written the weather was line and the outlook lor hauling favorable.
