Show DEMOCRATS CAUCUS ON CITY OFFICIALS Chief Interest In Pocatollo Political Fight Centers on Nomination for Mayoralty Honors. Special to The Tribune. POCATELLO, Idaho, March 30. Democratic caucuses were held Wednesday Wednes-day night in each of the five wards of the city for the purpose of selecting delegates to the nominating convention for city officers to be heldon April 3. The r8ucnses were well attended and much interest developed, which centered cb i"f ly around the contest for the nomination nom-ination for mayor. T. C. Quinn, a former for-mer railroad man and candidate for mayor, claims to have the required number num-ber of delngntps pledged to his support. It. is said, however, that his candidacy does not meet with the approval of local lo-cal leaders of the party among the business element. Under a law passed by the last session ses-sion of the legislature, the appointment of the different, city officials rests with the mayor, subject, to confirmation by the city council, thereby increasing the power and responsibility of the mayor's office.
