Show DRAKE SPEAKS ON COMPENSATION ACT The local branch of the National Insurance In-surance Federation was entertained by an address yesterday piven by R. L. Drake, field secretary of the national body, at a luncheon given at the Commercial Com-mercial club. Mr. Drake spoke on "The Workmen's Compensation Act.'' Mr. Drake was a member of the Michigan commission which prepared the law enacted en-acted in that state and after which those of most of the other states now with such measures are patented. Mr. Drake told how the compensation laws operate to reduce accidents by improvements im-provements in safety devices. He also spoke as to the effects the new measure j will have on insurance. |
