Show TUCSON-ARIZONA !S I"! GOOD COIITIOI John F. Cowan, President and General Manager of Property, Returns. Late developments at the property of the Tucson-Arizona Copper company, located lo-cated out of Tucson, Ariz., are favorable and highly encouraging, according to Johu F. Cowan, president and general manager of the company, who returned late Thursday night from an extended western trip, during which time he made au inspection of the property. Mr. Cowan said yesterday "that in the east workings near the surface the values val-ues Were holding up well and that shipments ship-ments of ore averaging from 6 to 7 per cent copper were being made. This ore body appears to be of great extent, requiring re-quiring only adequate development to Eut the mine on a dividend paying asis. But it is over on the ivest side of the property thnt the real hope of a big fortune lies. Here a shaft has been sunk to the depth of 10O feet and the water has come in to suoh an extent as to give the impression that with a drift of not more than tiftv feet the richer ore will be reached at depth. The mine is already more than paying its, own way, new equipment is being added and 5lr. Cowan is confident that within six mouths he will make the Tucson-Arizona one of the best known copper producers of the district. |
