Show SHIPPERS TO MEET TO CONSIDER THE RATE QUESTION CHICAGO, March 30. Representatives of fourteen national organizations of shippers today issued a call for a general conference of commercial and manufacturing manufactur-ing interests in Chicago April 13 to consider con-sider action fn regard to the petition recently re-cently filed by the railroads with the Interstate In-terstate commerce commission, asking for a general increase in freight rates. The shippers, it is said, will ask that their side of the question be heard by the commission before final action Is taken. The conference was called by the National Na-tional Tjlvestock Shippers' Protective league, National Industrial Traffic league, ! Utilities bureau, National Petroleum association, as-sociation, National Council of Farmers' Co-operative Grain Dealers' association, National Woolgrowers' association.
