The annual ball and banquet given by the Woodmen of the World lodge Wednesday evening at La GiTiKl hall was attended by 600 persons. The banquet was served from 11:30 to 1:30 a. m. at the local hotels and restaurants, all of which were handsomely hand-somely decorated tn a color scheme of purple and red. together with lodge emblems. em-blems. Following the supper, dancing was continued until the early morning hours. An enlarged orchestra furnished the music, and decorations all suggestive of the occasion were effectively placed about the dance hall. Lodge, members from the surrounding towns, including many from Brigham City, were in attendance. at-tendance. Miss Kingsbury. S. i church met at Progress hall for an old-! old-! fashioned picnic. They took lunches with them and dressed in picnic attire. They danced and played until a late hour, when all formed themselves into a circle and enjoyed a fine lunch. Susie Bietha n gave an evening to the Come Again club on Tuesday. The Misses Phyllis Hoover and Lulu Vouug were guests of the club. Robert Robins and Miss Tavey won the prizes at cards. Mrs. W. A. Lee gave a party to the King's Daughters on Monday 'evening. The young ladies made the affair a leap year one. They went to the homes of the young men and escorted them to and from the party with all the gallantry of the nights of old. Cards and dancing furnished fur-nished entertainment. The Royal Xeighbors installed officers Wednesday evening of this week. After the installation, the thirty-seven members mem-bers who were present partook of a midnight mid-night lunch. Eight sleigh loads went to Thomas Saturday evening to the hig dance. The senior class of the high school enjoyed a sleigh ride Saturday and a fine lunch in the dining room of the domestic do-mestic science department. The sophomore sopho-more class was out Mondav night and l he commercial classes Tuesday evening. even-ing. The Parent-Teachers' association met Friday evening and held an exciting debate de-bate on the question of examinations. The matter was discussed bv Judge Anderson Ander-son and Mrs. C, A. Hoover for the affirmative af-firmative and Professor Lewis and Mrs K. Pearson for the negative. The discussion discus-sion was carried into the audience and much interest was shown. MT.
