Show BUnr & GARLQUIST SELL TOOELE RANCH Bishop S. M. Seddon. who for thirty years was bishop of the Fifth ward in this city, and his son. S. M. Seddon, Jr., superintendent of the Portland Cement company of this city, have just purchased, pur-chased, through the firm of Burt & Carl-quist Carl-quist company, 1100 acres of ranch land in Tooele county. Mr. Seddon and his son contemplate going Into the raisins of blooded cattle and horses, besides the growing of dry-farm grain. They have 300 acres of their farm planted to fall; wheat and expect to plant 400 acres more in the spring. Tlr's ranch is considered one of the best equipped in Tooele county. Over Soil acres of the farm is now under cultivation. culti-vation. This Is the second large tract of land that the nrm of Burt & Carqmst has sold in this vlrinlty in the last sixty days. Frank Cuiler, the well-known gardener and for several years the manager man-ager of the Growers' exchange, lias Just completed the purchase of 1100 acres. Mr. Carlquist reports that the firm has had many inquiries for ranches and dry-farm dry-farm lands. |
