Biiibidjje. and Niglitwatehman White yesterday afternoon took Mr. White's trained bloodhound to the seene of the crime aud all over the immcv Vf vicinity. Inability on the part of the offic-ersV to find any piece of clothing or anv other article that had been in the possession pos-session of the murderer long enough to acquire an individual " scent '' pre. vented the dog from having anything with which to start work on, and the investigation in this direction proved to be without results. The officers are still hopeful, however, that further search may disclose, some article of clothing or other belonging of tho slayer, and that iu this w-ay a clue mav be secured that will lead" to material developments. So far the officers have not been able to find any trace of a mam reported to have been with Delancey when he made part of his trip Wednesday night.- Ho left the dairy alone when he delivered tue milk at the wholesale station, about two miles nearer town. It was part -of' his duty to visit various restaurants later on in the night and to collect swill which he hauled back to tho dairy, usually arriving home about 11 o'clock in the morning. Somewhere near midnight mid-night Delancey called at tho Eur -Harvey cafe, East First South st'4 to get some of the waste for his swnTV barrel, aud a porter employed at that, cafe says that Delancey had auotlu'r man on the wagon with him.
