Show SNOW DRIFTS ONTO TRACKS HIGH BANKS CUT BY PLOW j TE f the snowbanks cut by Bamberger trains between ! I here and Ogden. 1 1 i ' T'- ' 1 r - Bamberger Trains Eat Their Way to and From Ogden. TRAIN" crews of the Salt Lake & Ogden Og-den line last week thought they were on a polar expedition instead of merely going from Salt Lake to Ogden. Almost every train that went between the two cities during the first part of the week had to bite its way through great snowdrifts. Apparently the snow selected the Bamberger Bam-berger tracks as a line place to form a drift. All along the line the snow away from the tracks was not deep, but on the tracks It was piled high. "The Illustration Illus-tration shows an eight-foot cut through a snowbank. Despite the trouble from the snow, the Bamberger line maintained its scheduled numher of trains per day. though soma of them were late. By working snow-plows snow-plows and sweepers night and day, the track was maintained reasonably clear. |
