Show COASTING HILLS ON STREETS DESIGNATED Official Sanction Insures Safety in Certain Cer-tain Districts; Flags Will Be Put Up. Coasting will be officially sanctioned by the police on several hills on streets within the city limits today. Sergeant Lester Wire, chief of the police traffic squad, yesterday announced that flags would bo put up at the respective corners cor-ners today and they would form a' warning warn-ing for vehicular traffic. All drivers of machines and other vehicles are urged to exercise the greatest caution in the 1 districts where coasting will take place. The places designated for coasting follow: Fourth North street, from Wall street to Second West street ; Third avenue, from A street to Canyon road: First a venule, from Virginia street to E street; Ninth South street, from Fifteenth East street to Ninth East street, taking the north side; Eleventh South street, from Eleventh East street to Ninth East street; old Eleventh South street, from Fifteenth East street to Seventh Kast street, i Sergeant Wire said that coasting would be tjaboo on any streets other than those specified above. As soon as Patrolman A. E. Lund puts up the flags this afternoon coasting will be in order, or-der, Coasting will be allowed daily from 3:45 p. m. to 0 p. m.j except on Fridays, when, it may be indulged in up to 31 p. ni. On Saturdays coasting will be allowed from 1 p. m. to 1-o 1-o 'clock midnight. |
