Show IDAHO TO INCREASE GOOD ROAD BUILDING Special to The Tribune. POCATELDO, Idaho. Dec. 7. It s conceded con-ceded by members-elect of the I da no legislature leg-islature that a new era of roacl construction construc-tion is in sight for this state. The plans as outlined will -ultimately mean a complete com-plete system 0f highways from the trade centers to the mining districts, the great national forests and to spots of scenic beauty. The fact that the automobile is revolutionizing transportation will have a great deal to do with the legislative programme pro-gramme with regard to goor roads. Idaho's share of the $Sn.Ouo,0nj appropriated appropri-ated by congress for good roads amounts to $142,000 for 1917, and each year thereafter there-after 10 per cent will he added for a period of five years. In order to take ad-: ad-: vantage of this appropriation the state must appropriate an equal amount, and It is said thai, there is no question that such action will be taken. |
