Show FORMER CANDIDATE WILL SUE ACCUSERS Special to The Tribune. POCATELLO, Idaho. Dec. 7. In a jury tri?l at Sandpoint. John V. Stanley, who was a candidate for congress on the Democratic Dem-ocratic ticket, was acqniited of a. statutory statu-tory offense against Louise Aid rich, a 1;"-year-otd girl who was in .t ho employ of i he Stanley family as a domestic. Tiie complaint was filed a short time previous to election day. The defence set up an alibi and proved that Stanley-was in Bonner's Bon-ner's Ferry at the time the offense was alleged lo have been committed. At the time the complaint was tiled Stanley was asked by the Democratic state central committee to withdraw from the ticket, but found that under the law-it law-it was impossible for him to do so. Jt is said that the bringing of the suit had considerable to do with the defeat of the Democratic congressional ticket. It is re-I re-I ported that Stanley will now bring suits for malicious prosecution. |
