Show ASK REOPENING OF MUNICIPAL MARKET Women Make Petitiou in Effort to Reduce Re-duce High Cost of Food Products "in Salt Lake City. Request that the municipal market be reinstituted as a protection against the high cost of living was made of the city commission yesterday by a delegation of club women. The members of the delegation dele-gation were Mrs. W. F. Adams, Mrs. J. T. Beless. Mrs. Selden I. Clawson and Mrs. Charles Decker. The club women credited antagonism on tiie part of the Growors' exchange with having contributed to the failure of the market. They also said that some stores had refused credit to customers known to patronize the market. The commissioners were disposed to regard re-gard the argument of the club women as of merit and it Is thought that provision of re-estahlishment may be made when t he PUT budget is made. Mrs. AJams explained that she had promises of support from E. O. Leather-wood, Leather-wood, district attorney, and Wilson McCarthy, Mc-Carthy, district attorney-elect, in the effort ef-fort of the club women to do something to curb tho upward trend of the cost of living.
