Show HEARING ON CHARGE OF COUNTERFEITING The trial of Frank A. Critchley, an alleged counterfeiter, occupied all of yesterday in the federal court, J udge Tillman D. Johnson presiding. Critchley, Critch-ley, according to the indictment, engaged en-gaged in the manufacture of spurious silver dollars, and in company with : James Fogarty. whose tria I is set for 1 December 13, charged similarly, passed them upon local merchants and street car conductors. The arrest of both men and the confiscation of the counterfeiting coun-terfeiting paraphernalia was effected through the efforts of Thomas Cal-laghan, Cal-laghan, in charge of the United States secret service division of the inter-mountain inter-mountain section. The prosecution is being conducted by United States Attorney William W. Ray and his assistant, David S. Cook. The trial will be resumed this morning. |
