Show IIMEGIB3 ? AMIES! President Barrow of International Inter-national in Favor of Movement. By International News Service. NEW YORK. Dec. 7. That th proposed pro-posed Int er-ligue series between the International In-ternational league and tho American eus-soclation eus-soclation would revive interest in the pastime pas-time in both circles Is tho belief of President Presi-dent Barrow of the former league. "When tho International league directors di-rectors meet here on Monday," said Mr. Barrow today, "the plan for playing a shorter wehcdule and following up with an intor-K-uguo series will be discussed, and I, for one, will do what I can for it. I believe that new faces and new clubs coming Into t lie two circuits as the season sea-son starts to wane would be a great thing. We could shorten our sehedules to 112 games and then play a 4S-game series se-ries between the two leagues. When I ha cost of moving the eight clubs from one league to the other would not bo so great, tho project would be worth trying out. "At the meeting of tho American as-soclation as-soclation clubs in New Orleans I talked " 1 with five American association club own- 1 ers regarding such a series and all seemed in favor of it. I expect that the American Ameri-can association will take action on tha matter at Its meeting in Indianapolis tomorrow to-morrow and if it Is found favorable tha chances of tho plan being completed by our league will be enhanced." |
