A portable bed which fits over the top of the front and rear seats of the Pierce-Arrow Pierce-Arrow and which Mr. Freed designed himself, together with specially built containers lor food supplies, e'othing, extra gasoline, extra oils, tires, camping equipment and everything else that will enable occimants of the car to camp when and where they please, are being carried on the big Pierce. From Denver Mr. and Mrs. Freed will drive the Pierce back to Salt Laie. Mr. Freed estimated before he left that the trip will require but between three to four months. Frank Botterill, of the Tom Botterill Automobile company of this city, distributors dis-tributors in this territory for Pierce-Arrow Pierce-Arrow cars, made arrangements with Mr. Freed before he left to receive reports re-ports on the operation of the Pierce throughout the entire trip. Mr. Freed made a trip of similar character last year in his Pierce-Arrow and upon his return reported that he hadn't had the hood of the Pierce up during the entire , trip except to replenish his motor oil. |
