Show BOARD ASKS FOR MAINTENANCE FUND County Commissioners Are Asked, for $160,500 for Ogden City School Purposes. Special to The Tribune. OGDEN", April 29. In a resolution signed by W. H. Williams, president of the Ogden city board of education, today to-day the boarcTrequeets the Weber comt-ty comt-ty commissioners to provide a fund ot $160,500 from the 1916 taxes for support sup-port and maintenance of the public schoolB iu this city during the coming year. No comparison ot this can be made with the amount received last year because of changes that have been made in the state funds. Explaining their action to the county board, the school board, members point out that a total of $242,000 is needed for the support of the schools and added to this there must be $8700 for interest on bonds and $4200 for the sinking fund. Of the total of $242 000 for maintenance mainten-ance it is estimated that $(3500 will be received from the state high school fund and $75,000 from the state district school and land rental funds. The balance of $160,500, together with the amounts for bond interest and bond redemption, must therefore be raised by tax levy for the Ogden city school district. dis-trict.
