Three world's rocords were equaled and one collegiate col-legiate reoord was ahattered on Franklin Frank-lin field today In the annual relay race carnival car-nival of the University of Pennsylvania. In winning the two-mile college relay championship of America Yale equaled the rtscord of 7:68, made by an Irish-American Irish-American Athletic club team in 1910. Cornell Cor-nell equaled the record of 17:61 3-5 In winning the four-mllo college relay championship cham-pionship of America. Simpson, the western champion from MlfiHourl university, equaled the world's record of 1 6 seconds for the lliO-yard. lliO-yard. Another feature event of the day was the winning of the mile reiay championship champion-ship by Harvard in a hard finish. Pennsylvania Penn-sylvania won the freshman one-mile relay re-lay championship. St. Albans, Washington, Washing-ton, D. C, captured the preparatory relay re-lay championship at a mile, and the Northeast hlfch school, Philadelphia, won the high school national relay one-mile title. The one-in tie relay colleRe championship champion-ship race was an exciting affair. - The starters were Harvard, Princeton, Pennsylvania Penn-sylvania and Wisconsin. Wallace and Barrett of Princeton led In their relays, but In the third quarter Bingham of Harvard Har-vard took the lead and held it to the end of the relay, with Richardson of Princeton Prince-ton and Williams of Wisconsin close up. Scudder of Pennsylvania raft a poor quar- ter and Meredith, the Olynmiu champion, of whom much was expected, was unable to catch "Wilcox of Harvard and Monro ' of Princeton, who were leading on the last relay.
