Show SEAL SHOOTS HIGH SCORE WITH PISTOL Good Marks Recorded 6n Fort Douglas Range by Troop A. Corporal II. K. Seal made the high I score of the members of troop A, First cavalry, who fired the instruction pistol course at the Kurt Douglas pistol range yesterday. The pistol used is the Colts automatic, caliber .45. The target is known as the L target, a rectangle six ; feet hiyh and four feel wide with a liUuk circular bull's eye five inches in diameter. The value of the hit in the bull's eye is ten. Seven other three-im'h rings circle around the bull's eye. They have a vultte of nine to two from the bull's eye. Meyers, aergeant-in- structor for troop A. made an excellent score .slow fire, having a possible out of; five shots a! both fifteen and twenty- i five yards. But when it came to rapid fire, Meyers didn't do so well. He says he needs plenty of rapid-fire practice. Wayne also did not do so well yesterday, lie. too, says all he needs is a little more trigger squeezing exercise. Mack Is j shooting in expert form and hopes to do : even better after a little more practice. The condition of the firings are: Slow j fire, no time limit, ten shots each range, I possible score 100 each range: rapid fire, j time limit 20 seconds per score of ftvo shots. |
