Show SUGGESTS DATE FOxR I GOVERNORS' MEETING In accordance with the suggestion of j Governor William Spry, the national ; governor's conference will probably' open here Tuesday, June 27. Miles O. Rilev of Wisconsin, secre- ! tary of the conference, yesterday telegraphed, tele-graphed, proposing June 20 and 27 as the dates. In the absence of Governor Spry, his secretary, John K. Hardy, replied, re-plied, proposing .lune 27 as the opening day. Some time ago tli majority of the governors decided upon the latter part of June or tho first week of July for the conference, the desire being to hold it after tho national contentions and before the state national political cam-I paigns get active. I Governor Spry was expected home from Chicago yesterday, but did not get, here. He is expected to g''t in today or ; tomorrow. . j |
