As soon as possible a list of corporations not In with their reports will be made and letters sent out ordering delinquents to make excuses as to why they should not be proceeded against for falling to make their reports. These excuses, which will bo In affidavit form, sworn to and subscribed, sub-scribed, will be Hent to Washington. It will he In the discretion of the commissioner commis-sioner of Internal revenue as to whether tlic excuses will be accepted. Mr. Evans says he Is certain the number num-ber of delinquents runs Into the hundreds, hun-dreds, but ho will not be able to say anything any-thing definite until tho list Is checked, which will require several days probably. |
