Cowans and Mayor William Glas-mann Glas-mann has boon selected to take charge of tho movemont to start a branch of the association at Ogdcn. Practically every minister of the city is actively interested In the plan to organize or-ganize an association ami build a home. Prominent business men am also becoming becom-ing Interested, and It Is believed that sufficient funds will be plodged during tho campaign to assure the building of a Y. M. O. A. homo boforo next winter. So that there shall bo a spirit of unity hi the movement, ministers of Hie city have urged that there be no sectarian linos In tho membership or government or tho local branch of tho association. With this spirit foremost. Mormon. Catholic Cath-olic and denominational churches nre urged to unite in the movement. Mr. Titus and Fred B. Shipn. official representative- of the international V. M. C. A., have been in Ogdcn for several days. Both have pointed the way towards the organization of nn association here, leaving leav-ing It to the committees to start a vigorous vig-orous canvass. |
