Show STEENERS0N MILITIA BILL PASSED BY HOUSE WASHINGTON. March J. The Steen-erson Steen-erson militia pay bill was passed by the house today by a vote of 150 lo 121. The bill provides that militia officers in the various slates shall rccelvo from 5 to 20 per cent of the pay of officers of similar grade in the regular army. Tho pay of privates Is fixed at 25 per cent of the regular army scale. One of the conditions imposed upon any ono accepting pay under the proposed pro-posed act Is an ngroement to ronder military mili-tary service to the United States "during "dur-ing any period for which he may be called into such service," not to exceed two years.
