Show PRESIDENT LOVETT CLICHES TIE SIW Double-Tracking of Southern and Union Pacific Railways to Begin Shortly. SAN FRANCISCO. March 1. That the double tracking of the trans-continental lines of the Southern Pacific and Union Pacific railways will bo completed in time for the opening of the Panama-Pacific Panama-Pacific International exposition was the statement today by President Robert S. rival here. Mr. Lovctt declared lhat the decision to double track was the result of busl-, ness growth nnd independent of the choice of San Francisco as the place for holding the exposition. The work will be prosecuted, according accord-ing to Mr. Lovett.
