Norton, whose resignation as secretary lo President Taft has been announced, will become vice president of tho First National bank here, succeeding Thomas W. Tho First National bank has a. capital and surplus of more than $:u.000,000. It is considered likely that, as Mr. Lament's successor, Mr. Norton will also enter the long list of directorates for which the vice president of the First National Is usually chosen.
