Show I UTAH PIONEER DIES. Jame8 Barnes, Forty Years a Resident of Weber County, Dead. 'Special to The Tribune. OGDEN. March 1. James Barnes, 85 years of age, a pioneer of Utah, died at , the homo of his sister, Mrs. Jane Brlggs, SI HaiTlsvlllc avenue, at 1 o'clock this afternoon after several months' Illness from general debility. Born at Lancashire, England, December 22, 1836, Mr Barnes remained In his native land until he was past middle age. when he joined the Mormon church and emigrated to Utah, He had been a resident of Weber county for forty years, living a part of the time at Pleasant View. Funeral services will be held at tho Lynn ward meeting house Ftldav afternoon after-noon at 2 o'clock. Friends who desire to ; see tho body may do so at Larkin's chapel Thursday evening and at the home of Mrs. Brlggs Friday morning. Interment Inter-ment will be at the City cemetery. |
