Coopor against tho Utah Light and II ail way company for $10,031.00 for personal injuries sustained whilo in tho employ of the company January H0. 1A03, Judgo Morris L. Ritchie of tho district court Saturday issued a writ of. attachment in favor of Coopor upon tho Fourth West street car barns and steam plant, certain horses, machinery and wagous of tho company, to satisfy tho judgment. Tho writ was placod in Sheriff Emory's hands late Saturday afternoon but not served. It probably will be served Monday. Officers of the street railway company com-pany said late Saturday night that tho seizing of tho Fourth West street barns and machinery will not tio up the struct railway system in the least. The property prop-erty levied upon is worth four or five times tho amount of tho judgment,. probably. Cooper obtained judgment for tho nmount against tho Utah Light nnd Powor company in January of last year. The suit was instituted in that nnmo before tho absorbing of the powor company by the light and railway company. com-pany. Ouo of the points covered iu tho recent decision was to tho effect that the property of tho light and railway rail-way company is liable for the judgment against tho power company. |
