Tho new Eureka orchestra gave Its Initial dance at the Elks' pavilion on Wednesday evening, which was largely attended. Tho members of Columbia lodge No, 2. Daughters of Rebckah. Thursday evening entertained the grand assembly officers of tho state. Tho evening was devoted to listening to a literary programme and card playing, after which a delicious luncheon was partaken of. Miss Ruby Fullrelde left Monday for Provo, to resume, her studies at tho B. Y. academy. The Mothers' club will meet next Friday Fri-day evening at the homo of Mrs. William Wil-liam Adams, at which tlmo the following programme will bo rendered: "Preparations "Prepara-tions for War," Mrs. J. D. Russell ; "Henry, "Hen-ry, the Prophet of Revolution." Mrs. Edward Ed-ward Pike; roadlng, "Paul Revero's Ride," Mrs. Benjamin Thurmond: responses re-sponses to rollcall, "Commanders of tho Revolution." Mr. and Mrs. Albert Larson, who havo been the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Jones, returned to their home -at Santa-quln Santa-quln this week. Miss Nellie Sullivan, who has been visiting vis-iting her parents hero tor tho past week, has returned to Stockton. W. T. Shrlver visited the capital city this week. Mrs. T-. S. Haynes of Payson is visiting visit-ing with Eureka friends. Mrs. William ' Olsen and daughter of Spanish Fork are tho gucars of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Morley. Invitations for a private mask ball havo been Issued, tho affair to take place December 10. Misses Cloa and Nellie Hlnsh of Pay-son, Pay-son, who wero tho guests of Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Hlnsh, returned to their home Mondav. Mrs, James Knowlos returned this week from a ten-days' visit with her parents at Ephralm. Mrs. Dennis Sullivan and daugter. Mar-cella, Mar-cella, visited Salt Lako friends this week, Mrs. Frank Newton, who has been tho guest of Mr. and Mrs. I-I. F. Gear, returned re-turned to Salt Lako this week. Mr. and Mrs. W. S. Craig of Chllll-cothc, Chllll-cothc, Mo arc visiting their son, W. Craig, of tho Bell Telephone companv. They may decide to locate permanently In Eureka. Superintendent -Robert A. Brown of the Centcnnlal-Eurcka mine, visited Salt Lake this week. J. C. Sullivan returned this week from a visit to Ploche, Nov. D. A. Depuo of Stockton visited Eureka Eure-ka friends Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Stewardson are entertaining the former's parents, who arrived from Kansas this week. |
