H Lopez pleaded guilty and was son- Jcnced to tho state prison, New preferred pre-ferred to talte his chances beforo a jury and his trial was begun Friday. Attorney A. G. Horn conducted his do-fenso do-fenso and proved that tho defendant i was not connected with tho robbery of tho residence, notwithstanding tho Bworn statcmouts of Lopez, who was )i brought from tho stato prison Saturday '! and testified that New was with him and assisted in tho burglary.
