Show LOGAN SOCIETY Special to Tho Tribune. LOGAN, Dec. 5. Ono of tho largo and pleasant attain of tho week was the dancing party given at the Auditorium Thursday -evening by tho Clio circle. Tho Auditorium was artistically decorated for the occasion. Dancing was enjoyed andrefreshmcnts were served. The committee com-mittee in ohnrgo was: Mrs. Moses Thatcher, Jr.. Mra. I. S. Smith. Jr.. and Mrs. Oliver Budge. A large number of guests were present. The Clio circle met Wednesday with Mrs. Ray West. Thcro was a lu.rgc attendance at-tendance and a very interesting paper was given by Prof. Lawson on "Adam Bcde." Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Fleming are expecting ex-pecting their son Bert, of the agricultural college of New Mexico, home for the holidays, holi-days, The character ball given Friday evening even-ing at the Fourth ward amusement hall was a most delightful success. It was largely attended and many splendid characters char-acters were there. Mrs. John II. Selley has returned to her home In the city, after a pleasant visit with her sister, Mrs. J. Z. Stewart, Jr. Miss L,ou Thatcher. Miss Mario Barber, Miss Barbara Howell. Miss Vivian Hatch, and Messrs. Alex Preston, Carlett Rltor. tJ. D. Van Wagoner, Reese Howell and Asa Bullen made up a theater parly Saturday Sat-urday evening complimentary to Miss Barbara Howell. A luncheon served at Murdock's after the play was much on-Joyed. on-Joyed. Tho party was chaperoned by Mr. and Mrs. Luthor Howell. Mrs. T. S. Browning returnod to hor home In Ogden Tuesday, after two wcckB spent with her father, Georgo T. Baugh. Miss Mlnnio Peterson returned to the city Monday, after a week's visit In Logan. The Wobyca society met Wednesday at the B. Y. college. "Life and Works of Benjamin Franklin" was given by Prof. Georgo C. Jensen and a cornet solo was rendered by Seth Baker. Mr. and MVs. Thomas Smart and family fam-ily left Tuesday for Honolulu, whero they will spend tho winter, during which time they will also visit Japan. Mr. and Mrs. John TP. Wright will leavo the early part of tho week for California, whero they will spend the next six months. William Howell Is In Salt Lake on a business trip. Miss Ethel Thatcher entertained Informally Infor-mally Friday evening In honor of Miss Barbara Howell, who will spend tho winter win-ter in Washington. Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Badenoch are back from a pleasant Salt Lako visit. Mrs. H. T. Emcl3 is visiting in Salt Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Wlllard Langton entertained enter-tained at an Informal dinner party Friday Fri-day evening In honor of Mr. Walker, who left Saturday for Chicago. Ml3s McKay Is back from a pleasent Ogden visit. The A. C. Woman's club met Monday with Mrs. Sidney O. Stevens. Miss Margaret Mar-garet Wilkinson gavo a most Interesting paper on "The Pre-Raphaelitcs." Refreshments Re-freshments wero served by Mrs. Stevens, and the club adjourned to meet with Mrs. Guy Thatcher on Monday, Congressman Howell and family left Monday for Washington, where they will spend the winter. Joseph E. Cardon left Saturdav for Chicago, whero he will spend tho next two weeks. Mrs. A. II. Thompson Is visiting with Salt Lako relatives and friends.
