Show The Real Reality Film makers, news makers, novelists and others have gone off the deep end in the past two or three decades in an all-out attempt to portray por-tray reality. Reality for reality's sake seems to be the be-all, the goal to which everything else is secondary. BUT WHO is to say what reality is? It varies here and there and is one thing to one person and something else to another. And is there any reason for reality to be so championed? Reality, after all, is a certain moment, or stage or capsuled situation in the effort of mankind to lift itself. Why not, then, more stress on meaning, inspiration, hope or progress-rather than reality? Reality must be faced but there is more. There is the goal of life, progress and meaning, the inspiration and message in so much around us. REALITY HAS been used, and championed, to justify much smut, degeneration, degradation and vulgarity. There is a place for facing reality. But reality just for reality's sake is often meaningless or worse. |
