Show Earn Advanced Degrees Four Davis County residents have recently completed requirements for advanced degrees at USU. DARRELL R. Borrowman, son of Dr. and Mrs. S. Ralph Borrowman, Bountiful, received a Master of Science degree in health education from USU. He had previously earned a bachelor's degree in health and physical education in 1974 from USU. To complete requirements for the degree, .-Borrowman collected opinions of Logan residents towards the Bear River District Health Department. Depart-ment. He has been active in student affairs on campus. HE IS married to Carmen Pinto, Salt Lake City and they have one child. Borrowman is a community health education educa-tion specialist for the Bear River District Health Department. Depart-ment. LaGrande R. Brough, son of Lula Brough, 563 N. Main, Bountiful, received a Master of Education degree in secon dary education. He had previously earned a bachelor's degree in industrial indus-trial arts in 1953 from USU. BROUGH IS the husband of Julia Foy, Bountiful, and they have four children. He is the director of the Pre-vocational . program at the Davis County Development Center, Far-mington. Far-mington. Dennis R. James, son of Wayne and Ruth James, 221 E. 650 N., Bountiful, earned a Master of Business Administration Adminis-tration degree. He had previously earned a bachelor's degree in accounting account-ing in 1975 from USU. TO COMPLETE requirements for the degree, James did a study and report on the USU Foundation. He has participated in student government and athletics and is listed in Who's Who in American Colleges and Universities. James is married to Jan Thornton, Woods Cross, and they have ' one child. He is an auditor with Peat, Marwick, Mitchell and Co. in Salt Lake City. Kathleen Page Carlson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Milton H. Page, Kaysville, earned a Master of Science degree in communicative disorders at USU. She had previously received a bachelor's degree in communicative com-municative disorders in 1972. TO COMPLETE requirements for the degree, Mrs. Carlson wrote a thesis entitled, "An Experimental Analysis of Verbal Expansion as a Determiner of Verbal Output in Headstart Children." She is married to Larry J. Carlson, Heber City, ' and they have one child. |
