Show (Ssidod SdnoDsnrsDnips To y. More than 500 incoming Utah freshmen will receive scholarships at the U of U-during U-during the 1976-77 academic year. ALL STUDENTS who have qualified as semi-finalists in the National Merit Scholarship competition or ; who have a minimum high school grade-point-average of 3.9 will be offered Honors at Entrance scholarships upon admission to the University. The award is also given to students who have a 3.8 gpa-and gpa-and a minimum ACT score of 27. Other recipients are nominated by their high school principal or junior college based on high academic potential. ONLY UTAH residents are eligible for Honors at Entrance. En-trance. The scholarship may be continued after the freshmen fresh-men year if a student completes 30 graded credit hours and amintains a 3.8 gpa.
