Show 'lilicsns Set College A. Leslie Derbyshire, juntiful, Davis Countv pblican Chairman, Elaine mpton, Syracuse, vice lirman Gary Gittins, Cen-vilie, Cen-vilie, chairman of party velopment and Brent sley, Bountiful, education irman, will conduct the nd session of the Davis ity College of Republican wledge Thursday May 20 v.m. at the Farmington mentary School, 50 West South. ALL VOTING district chairmen, vice chairmen, secretaries, delegates and other officers elected at the May 17 mass meetings are expected to attend the college. Organizational, financial, voter registration and other important political matters will be discussed and material distributed to assist in the organization of the forthcoming political campaign. Early American flags became realities for students at Bountiful Jr. High School as they created this carpet mural of Betsy Ross and 12 of the flags that preceded the 13-star, 13-stripe flag that we associate with her name. PICTURED on either side of Betsy Ross are the follow- ing flags: the flag of Scotland, the flag of England, the British Bri-tish Union Flag (a combination combina-tion of the flag of Scotland and the flag of England), British Red Ensign, Grand Union Flag, Bunker Hill Flag, First Naval Ensign, Gadsen Flag, First Navy Jack, Rhode Island Flag, Flag of the Green Mountain Boys and the Bennington flag. The project will be Bountiful Boun-tiful Jr. High's entry in the UEA Bicentennial contest on the contributions of women. |
