Show With the school year rapidly drawing to a close the Vikings have been involved with many exciting activities, just a few of which are: THE ACADEMIC awards banquet which was held Wednesday Wed-nesday night at 6:30 in the cafeteria, the awards were presented later on that even-' even-' ing in the auditorium. The purpose of the banquet was to give special recognition recogni-tion to those outstanding seniors who have brought honor to themselves and their school through either service or academic excellence. THANKS TO all those who supported and participated in the Renaissance Fair and Carnival which was held last Friday. The carnival seemed at first to be threatened by the rain but the booths and relays along with the may pole and bake sales were moved inside the gym and the day turned out to be a great success. 1976-77 IS a very promising year for Viewmont's spirited new cheerleaders. These enthusiastic Vikings are psyched and ready for the new year and their competition competi-tion at USU this summer. They are: Diane Williams and Mark Davis; Teresa Lunt and Scott Shiotani; Rhonda Cleverly and Keith James; , Kathy Robinson and Val Jones; Marie Morrell and Scott Monson. Next year is going to be a fantastic one especially with the support and enthusiasm of the class of '77. CONGRATULATIONS to the new 1976-77 Vikettes who were chosen after the final drill team tryouts were chosen and their initiation Thursday morning included such things as standing on the comer of 400 North at 5 : 00 in the morning singing the school song to all who passed by and wearing a drill team uniform and paint on their face to school all day Thursday. Thurs-day. Congratulations we know you'll continue to uphold the Vikette tradition of pride and excellence. THE 1975-76 madrigals will present their annual spring concert tonight at 8 p.m. in the VHS auditorium. The theme will be "You and Me Against the World" and will include a little something for everyone. The musical selections range from Braums to Contemporary. Con-temporary. Tickets are available from any member of the madrigals or can be obtained at the door, prices are $3. per family, $1.25 for adults and 75 cents for students. stu-dents. We'd like to invite everyone to come support our great madrigals it promises to be a super performance. ! JUST A few of the things to be looking forward to next week are: the A. P. tests which will be conducted throughout the entire week, the girls athletics banquet which will be held Tuesday, May 18 at 6:30 p.m. in the cafeteria. The traditional "Looking Back" assembly which will take place Friday morning from 8:30 to 11 a.m. in the - VHS auditorium and the . graduation stomp which will be held Friday night from 8 to 11 p.m. Have a great week! |
