Show f Observe Anniversary . . . I -' ,i f, ' . f j MR. AND MRS AARON E. HOLT Open House To Mark (jolden oAnniuersary " Mr. and Mrs. Aaron E. Holt of Orem, former residents of Springville, will be honored on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary, with an open house reception at the home of a son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Holt, 114 East Eighth South in Springville. The open house will be held next Tuesday afternoon, August 24, from 1 p. m. to 3 p. m., and an invitation is extended to all relatives and friends to call on the couple at this time. " - Mr. Holt was born at Mt. Meadow, Iron county, November No-vember 20, 1877, and his wife, Mrs. Phoebe A. Cook Holt was born at Washington, Wasatch county, October 25, 1881. For many years after their marriage at Teasdale Aug. 24, 1898, the couple lived in Wayne county, where Mr. Holt followed farming. They later moved to Greenriver, Emery county, where they lived 15 years before coming to Utah eounty. Before moving to Orem, they lived for a time in Springville. ; Both have been active in I. D. S. church work and Mrs. Holt served in the presidency on the Relief Societv at Greenriver. 1 en of their 11 sons and daughters are living, including: includ-ing: Mrs. Leonard Hunt, Mafsing, Ida.; Mrs. Arnold Mik-elsen, Mik-elsen, Ontario, Oreg. ; Glen Holt, Springville; Mrs. Evert Wolff,. Garden City, Ida.; Mrs. A. T. Taylor, Furfur, Ore.; J. A. Holt, Orem; Mrs. Gorden Baker, Richfield; Fon C. Holt, Tacoma, Wash.; Ray C. Holt, Artesia, Colo.; Roy Holt, Orem. They also have 24 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. One grandson lost his life in Luzon Island in 1945.' |
