Detention Home, who was j found dead in his room. iMm .. .; PIONEER WOMAN OF 1849 DIES AT PROVO Mrs. Marilla Miller Daniels, Prominent Mormon Church Worker, Passes Away. Special to The Tribune. PROVO, Jan. 23. Mrs. Marilla Miller Daniels, widow of James EDrffiels, died this morning at 4:30 o'cldek from general gen-eral debility, at the home of her niece, Mrs. James E. Daniels. Mrs. Daniels was born October 12, 1830, at Haddam, Middlesex county, Conn. She was the daughter of Aaron Johnson, later for many years bishop at Spring-ville. Spring-ville. With her father's family she moved to Nauvoo and there married William Miller. She, with her husband, came to Utah In 1849 and lived at Springville until 1860, when the family moved to Provo. Mr. Miller died in the late '70's and Mrs. Miller later married Mr. panlels. Mrs. Daniels had no children. She is survived, however, by many brothers and sisters and other relatives. Funeral services will be held Friday at 1 o'clock either in the stake "tabernacle "taber-nacle or in the First ward meeting house. The interment will be in the Springville cemetery. |
