Show SANPETE DECLARES RABIES QUARANTINE Upon request of the commissioners of Sanpete county a rabies quarantine is to be established in the northern end of that political subdivision, probably extending from the southern part of Fairview northward north-ward to Indianola. Ravages of one dog are reported to be responsible for this anticipated action after af-ter an investigation made by Dr. R. W. Hoggan, state livestock inspector. The animal, said to have been afflicted with rabies, ran amuck and bit a large number num-ber of other animals in a section of the valley about twenty miles square, starting start-ing at Birch creek, near Fairview. T. J. Morley, clerk of Sanpete county, urges the state officials to take Immediate Imme-diate action to protect livestock in that section, as he says reports continue to reach him that many animals are affected af-fected with rabies. |
