Show PROVO BENCH CROPS. SHOW BIG INCREASE Vegetable and Fruit Production Will Be Bounteous, According to Railroad Rail-road Official. Tiespitt! rumors to the contrary the t'niir ami vegetable crops on tho l:rovo bench this year are the moat bounteous iu the history of the district, according to data gathered during the past week by Koss Beason, traffic manager of the alt Lake & Utah railroad. So many and varied reports have been received regarding tho crops of the Provo bench that Mr. Beason went into the district last wee'li and made a personal investigation investi-gation and an exhaustive survey of crops. According- to -data obtained Mr. Beason Bea-son estimates that tho yield will be approximately ;5u to -100 ears of peaches, 200 to 250 cars of apples, about 150 cars of small fruits, such as prunes, plums and pears, 100 cars of onions ana 500 cars of potatoes. ,In practically every instance the yield will be much greater this year than in any former season, the increase in many cases being be-ing as high as 50 per cent. The grain crop also was above normal nor-mal aiid the beet crop will be of the bumper variety. Slight damage was done to the fruit crop last Thursday f" a restricted area by a terrific nail-storm. nail-storm.
