Show j EUREKA j EUREKA, Sept. 8. Wednesday afternoon after-noon Mrs. C. C. Grigrgs entertained the members of the Bridge club in a very charming manner. There was the regular programme of cards, the prize being won by Mrs. Emma Billings, and then an excellent ex-cellent luncheon. A special guest of the club was Mrs. John H. McChrystal. A party of Eureka people motored to Saratoga Springs last Sunday and enjoyed a pleasant outing, those In the party including in-cluding Mr. and Mrs. Dan Fields, Bert Fields, Mi's. Heber Fields, Robert Tibbs, Mrs. Richard Haynes, .Miss Ruth Haynes, and Mr. and Mrs. William Owens. Mrs. Daniel Martin was at Payson during dur-ing the week for a visit with Mr. and Mrs. T. S. Haynes. Mrs. Toney Jacobson of Salt Lake was in Eureka during the week, visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Charles Zabriskie. Dr. and Mrs. T. F. Gose and Mrs. Alex Blight were Provo visitors on Monday. Mr. and Mrs. P. H. Whitaker and daughter, Melba, of Ash ton,, Idaho, mo tored here this week for a visit with Mrs, Whit.ikcr's sister, Mrs. buries W inton. v Mrs. Jeori;e Paximui has returned home after spending a several weeks' vacation vaca-tion i.i suuhern California. Mrs. Arnion Hancock was here during the latter part of the week from Spring Lake, visiting at the home of Mr. and .Mrs. Harry J. Beane. Mrs. Hannah Rhodes of American Fork arrived in Eureka on Sunday eve- j ning to visit her daughter, Mrs. C E. ! Rife. ' Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Roberts of Salt Lake City were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Trelo.tr, Sunday and Monday. Mr. and Mrs. James Nolan r.nd Miss Bessie Harnett of Ogden are visiting in Eureka with Mr. and Mrs. Peter Borup and Mrs. Alex Nolan. Mrs. Rasmus Nelson entertained the members of the E. O. E. club on Thurs-' day afternoon. Luncheon was served to about a dozen guests. Mrs. Albert Peterson Pe-terson will entertain the club on next Thursday. ; Mr. and Mrs. D. C. Wheeler and children chil-dren returned on Monday after being the guests of Salt Lake lriends lor a week. Mrs. John Caldir and granddaughter, Miss Catherine Odder of Elberta, Canada, Can-ada, were in Eureka early in the week for a visit with Mrs. Calder's niece and nephew, Mrs. Joseph Treloar and William J. Tregoning. Luring their stay here they were guests' of honor at a number of parties. Among them was a dinner given at the home of Mrs. Treloar Sunday, a party at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Tregoning at Mammoth Monday and another social event at the home of Mr. and Mrs. William J. Tregoning in Eureka Tuesday evening. The guests left later in the week for Salt Luke, where they will visit before returning home. Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Huish and daughter. daugh-ter. Miss Frances Huish, Frank Beesley and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Taylor, returned re-turned Sunday evening after spending a week at Fish Lake. Miss Eila Weldon was here' this week from Butte, Mont., for a visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Weldon: Mr. and Mrs. Mary Bonner and Mrs. T. J. Barnard returned home Sunday evening after a pleasant sojourn with friends at Salina. Mrs. John Hill returned Wednesday from Salt Lake, where she was the guest for a week of Mr. and Mrs. William Mccormick. Mc-cormick. Dr. and Mrs. L, E. Clark had as their guests this week Mrs. Cuddeback, mother ! of Mrs. .Clark and Mrs. S. E. Tulley and son, Ralph, and Miss Leda Nelson, all of Salt Lake. Henry Franks, one of the Eureka boys who enlisted, was here this week visiting with his parents, M. and Mrs. Thomas Franks. Mrs. W. B. Thurmond returned to her liome in Provo Sunday, after a pleasant visit at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Zabriskie. Mrs. Agnes Haynes entertained during the week for Mrs. L. C. Jack and Miss Mary Tipton, both of Salt 1-ake City, and Mr. and Mrs. Hyrum Hayes of Nephi. Mr. and Mrs. V. L. Thomas and little grandson, Clarence Tomlinson, who have been visiting in Idaho for several weeks, returned home Sunday evening. Mr., and Mrs. Harry J. Beane and Mr. and Mrs. Myron Openshaw were at Spring Lake Wednesday, being guests at the home of Mrs. Lizzie Openshaw. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Miles and two little daughters of Stockton, were guests this " week of Mrs. James Householder and Mrs. Loren Runnells. Mrs. J. W. Morton entertained the members of the C.
