Show SALT LAKE SINGER WINS NEW HONORS Mrs. Gail Mills Dimmitt Made Musical Director of Church in Everett, Wash. The many Salt Lake and Idaho friends of Mrs. Gail Miils Dimmitt, who began her career as a professional musician mu-sician in Salt Lake City about nine years' ago, as soloist at the First Methodist Metho-dist Episcopal church aiis a member of the Unitarian quartette, has just been secured as musical director and soprano soloist at the First Methodist Episcopal church at Everett, Wash., and commences her duties today. Mrs. Dimmitt and ner nusband recently re-cently moved to Everett from Los Angeles, An-geles, where she has been prominent iu musical circles for the past five years. The musical education of Mrs. Dimmitt Dim-mitt started at home under her father's fath-er's direction. As a girl she was a member of a choir of 100 voices at Akron, Ohio. She then moved to Denver, Den-ver, studying at the University of Denver and singing in the famous Trinity Trin-ity church choir. She established a reputation in Utah and Idaho as a concert Binger on the Chautauqua circuit. In Los Angeles she was soprano soloist for the West Lake Methodist Episcopal church, for the Lvric club, and for the past year has been musical director of the IOschscholtzia chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. |
